  1. OriginsPunjab

My story begins in Punjab. At 15, I moved to Chandigarh, the city that became the starting point for everything that followed.

  2. EducationPanjab University

I studied at Panjab University. This chapter will eventually hold the people, ideas and turning points that shaped those years.

  3. Jul 2017–Jun 2019Chandigarh

I grew from team leader to team coordinator and joint secretary before serving as president. I led an 800+ member service organization, overseeing people policies, team structure, budgets, marketing and external representation; together, we raised INR 10 lakh for community initiatives.

    July 2017–June 2019

From one team to the whole club

I spent two years moving through the club before becoming president. That progression mattered: by the time I led it, I understood the volunteer experience at every level.

    1. Team Leader

I began by leading a team of general body members and learning how the club worked from the ground up.

    2. Team Coordinator

I moved into a coordinating role, supporting team leaders and helping several volunteer teams work together.

    3. Joint Secretary

I helped the club run day to day, including membership records, committee appointments, attendance, dues and club documents.

    4. President

I presided over the club and Board of Directors, coached committees and represented an 800+ member nonprofit across the Tricity.

    How the club was structured

A volunteer organisation at this scale needed clear lines of care, responsibility and accountability—not only titles.

    2. Annual fundraiser
      Pirates of the City

A Chandigarh-wide treasure hunt for teams of two to five. Participants followed clues across the city, while sponsorships and ticket sales funded service work.

    3. Diwali fundraiser
      Roshni

Rotaractors painted diyas with people at old-age homes, orphanages and childcare centres. We sold the decorated diyas and directed the proceeds to charitable causes.

    4. Every December
      Christmas at our Happy Schools

We spent Christmas with children at the schools and care centres we supported, with activities, performances and gifts.

    5. Annual flagship event
      Kids' Olympics

A day of outdoor sports and talent activities for children from schools, childcare centres and orphanages. Later editions continued the format at scale, including one with more than 520 participants.

  10. Remote lifeMany places

Remote work gave me the freedom to work from different places. Over time, that became a digital-nomad way of life, with most of the map so far drawn across India and stretching into Southeast Asia.

India → Southeast AsiaThe map so far: many roads across India, then farther into Southeast Asia.
